If you work in the creative industry,
you will probably want to have LeBook,
the bible for those in the fashion, advertising and design industries.
Published since 1982 in New York, Paris and London,
LeBook lists art directors, photographers, and illustrators
as well as PR, modeling and photo production agencies.
It even includes a list of luxury hotels and much, much more,
amounting to more 10,000 pieces of information.
LeBook is a must have and its readership is growing.
LeBook Connection is a show sponsored by this publication,
specifically tailored to showcase some of the work
done by those featured in the book.
It attracts visitors from all over the world.
This year's LeBook Connection was held
at Chelsea Art Museum for two days on June 17, and 18.
Vantan Design Institute participated in the show
under the name of Vantan Management
to promote nine of its graduates
and to explore business opportunities on their behalf.
Vantan Management is a project designed to launch
Vantan graduates' career in the visual industry,
much like Vantan's atelier X-SEED in fashion.
Vantan Management's main objective is to
support Vantan graduates' activities overseas.

More than one hundred people visited the booth
set up by Vantan Management during the show.
They were from a multitude of businesses,
including recording companies, media companies,
advertising agencies, creative derectors,
art dealers and select shop proprietors.
Vantan's staff manning the booth spoke
for the nine creative artists from Vantan,
and made a pitch for their work.
Some of their work received excellent reviews
from the representatives of Barneys New York,
Universal and ACEHOTEL.
Vantan Management will share the contacts
made during LeBook Connection with the nine creative artists
featured in the show and make necessary introductions,
helping them to take the first step in the right direction
as they launch their own careers overseas.
*Artists Vantan Management supported
at LeBook Connection this year are:

"w-inds." a male song and dance group, is popular not only in Japan,
but also in China, Taiwan, Korea and across South East Asia.
The stage clothing for "w-inds." upcoming live performances will be
designed by Mr. Yohei Onuki, a graduate of X-SEED,
Vantan Design Institute's (VDI) most prestigious fashion class.
We at VDI are very excited to see what he comes up with.
He is a promising young designer having already won numerous
fashion design competitions, such as the New Design Fashion Grand Prix
and the JFA Fur Design Contest, while at school.
A few days ago, "w-inds." vocalist Mr. Keita Tachibana chose several
designs for his stage performances.
Through input from Mr. Tachibana, Mr. Onuki will adjust
the chosen designs for wear on stage.
In 2009, VDI created a special class dedicated to stage clothing design
for both current students and graduates.
This is the third time time that the class has made clothing for musical artists.
The first two projects included work for Stephanie, a young singer,
and a group known as "Idoling".
Please look out for the work of our talented designers!

Vantan Design Insititute (VDI) student Mr. Takayuki Kujirai
and former student Ms Sahori Yoshii,
showed their collection under the label TELLSIT
at PLAFORM STUDIO in the Ginza district of Tokyo
from the 8th to the 13th of June.
TELLSIT is an apparel brand headed by Mr. Kujirai
who is attending the Career Course at VDI.
The theme of TELLSIT's second season is "what am I?".
Mr. Kujirai said that he tried to express this theme
by using fabrics in unconventional ways,
such as designing a tailored jacket from a jean jacket,
a pair of trousers from a denim shirt,
or a one-piece dress from a pair of jeans.
The completion of this transformations required special attention to detail.
TELLSIT also features items hand-knit by Ms. Sahiri Yoshii,
last year's Grand Prix winner of the Cutting Edge Brand Contest
(a contest held by VDI to develop new talents into leaders of the creative industry).
*See Ms. Yoshii's works of Cutting Edge here.
It is notable that Mr. Kujirai has been recognized while still studying at Vantan.
Watch out for his TELLSIT!
